A Proactive

Bi-Directional Filter That is Downhole Deployable.

Current pit trash and well trash filtering systems require expensive consumables, multiple units based on flow direction, and personnel to run. The DPDT-IL is a proactive bi-directional filter that is downhole deployable.

Based on the Spoked Solutions Washpipe Debris Trap (WPDT) technology, the DPDT-IL dual ball check system permits filtering of flow from the surface or from the well without any manipulation of the unit itself. Whether you are forward or reverse circulating, debris is capture in place and available for inspection during disassembly. The wire wrap screens are customized based on customer mud and brine fluid systems and may be sized to even capture gravel pack sand.

The DPDT-IL is inserted into your current workstring for seamless integration. It may be installed below the top drive and left above the rotary or deployed into the well. As it is an manipulatable system, the debris captured zone may be increased or decrease with the simple addition of workstring joints. Magnets may be added and the tech can be simplified for single directional flow.

Run it on coil, skinny pipe, or drillpipe; The DPDT-IL can be manufactured to suit.

BENEFITS

  • Screens may be customized to filter as tight as desired without stripping weighting agents.

  • No personnel required to operate.

  • May be used on surface or deployed downhole.

  • Bi-directional capability eases rig up and increases functionality.

  • Works with existing onsite workstrings or coiled tubing.

  • Available as a dedicated surface unit (DPDT-DU).

USE EXAMPLES

  • Filtering pit trash pre-sand face deployment.

  • Filtering pits and tanks during acid stimulation treatments.

  • Capturing debris downhole when underreaming on coiled tubing.

  • Capturing debris downhole during reverse circulations.

  • Capturing debris on surface during reverse circulations.

  • Filtering intervention working fluids to minimize fluid disposal and new fluid costs.

  • May be used on surface or deployed downhole.

  • Bi-directional capability eases rig up and increases functionality.
